The “Thin Blue Line” is that line of law enforcement and security that separates society from the criminal element. In 1975, Tim O’Connor created a quality guard service consisting of off-duty law enforcement officers called Blue Line Security. This concept grew into what is now one of the State of Indiana’s oldest and largest locally owned security agencies.

Tim left the Indianapolis Police Department after 12 years of service in order to pursue a career in private security. In 1986, he became the director of security for the Indiana Convention Center and Hoosier Dome, leaving there in 1989 to give his full attention to his rapidly growing security company.

Blue Line Security now serves large corporations as well as the local one-man shop, striving to build his empire. We have participated in the personal protection of four United States Presidents. Our expertise also involves the protection of employees in the companies threatened by disgruntled or ex-employees.
